BotCast Open Discussion Post

Okay, botcast. Hi.

Basically, we've been having some communication issues lately, which is... 99% on my end and my fault. orz. I'm having trouble keeping this plot straight, I don't remember what I do and don't know, and recently it led to me godmoding Soundwave a little. x_X;

Thus, this post; basically I think we need to have a discussion about our current 30 Xanatos Pileup and where we're going with it. I'm having it on this journal as that will keep it off the main comm and thus it won't get buried under 40 million other posts about other things, and we can keep this as a discussion.

That said, things I want known:

- What is your character planning/doing right now?
- What can other characters know about what this character is planning/doing?
- What does your character know about what other people are doing/planning?
- What would you like to do in the future, possibly with other characters?
- Any particular goals / things you want to have happen short term?
- Same question, but for the long-term?
- Other... stuff?

And then we are organized! Yay. This also goes for people involved with significant CR around Botcast *looks at Bitsy and Grimm*

Because I'd love for him to face off against Good!Starscream.

WELL I'm going to be very, very firm on the fact that he's not going to kill anybody. So not THAT evil. (Mainly because him killing people is waaaaaaay too angsty, and Mr. Flibble needs to be FUNNY.)

But he will be causing all sorts of property damage and chaos and blowing things up really good, just because he can. And, if the mods approve it, I'm going to make it so that the Hex vision can go through the comms, because that's also canon. (Seriously. He catches the holovirus off Dr. Lanstrom because he SPOKE TO HER ON THE RADIO and she zappped him one.)

So basically yes, Good!Starscream vs. Evil!Rimmer should definitely happen.

Okay. I'll need to find someone else who can kill him then. But he IS The type to go STOP, EVILDOER.

No, you did not tell me his powers. SPILL.

1. Killing Derpscream is slightly different, as I'd want him to go out via Heroic Sacrifice. Alternately he can NOT die, but still be severely injured/on the verge of dying and then get ported out, and Screamer gets ported back perfectly fine.

And yes, yes, I am.

2. Energon Swords - he's got a pair of crystal blades that he keeps in subspace. They're somewhat, but if they break he can summon new ones; this, however, kind of hurts and leaves him exhausted. Ironically, they're made of material that could permanently kill the REAL Starscream; they're also really, really, really sharp, and can cut through solid steel. And yes, he can use them, very well.

Supersonic Flight - Unlike the real Starscream, SG Screamer has all the Required Secondary Powers that let him fly his top speed. Which is Mach 4, about twice as fast as Starscream can go.

Microwave Lasers - His lasers cause the molecules in objects to agitate until they overheat and explode. It's canon I swear. I'm kind of making this just heat beams instead so it's not godmody. They are much more powerful than Starscream's.

Fragile Health - He has a huge, glaring weakness to make up for all this - his health. Sucks. He's nearly blind without his glasses, his skin is severely sun-sensitive (he will ACTUALLY be albino!), he's got a horrible cough paired with dizzy spells and bad knees. Thus, while he can hold his own in a fight, he can't do it for very long before his body just cuts out on him.

My goodness. o_o

Damn, this is tempting me to have Derpscream kill Rimmer. ._.

He won't kill people though unless he HAS to, and he's been around humans long enough to know how not to hurt them.

:D Yes. Derpfais will glee and also being a huge derp offer to make a pair for Quatre if he can get supplies. Or at least give the guy the formula, though sadly the formula for making Energon actually can't be translated into English I'm pretty sure.

OH Quatre has a lot of Wing technology on the brain. I'm sure they could find a way to translate the technology over. Somehow. Maybe not as strong or not as pink, but still cool?

We'll see. I kind of want to keep Energon a botcast-only thing, mostly because it's such a macguffin in the series :|a Also, SG Energon is canonically different than G1 energon - it's green for one thing, and stored in rods, not cubes.

Yeah, that's how I feel about Gundanium. Clearly a humanized version shall have to be made instead. Quatre's been looking for a good, not stupidly expensive way to make heat shotels (and a few other GW weapons), this might prove his chance. Oooh, I did not know this. I am unfamiliar with SG beyond the differences in the characters themselves.

*nods* Yeah, that might work. They'd probably end up with something halfway between Energon and Gundanium.

And yeah, another huge difference is that SG guys have Embers, not Sparks; Sparks have a positive charge, while Embers have a negative charge. They're also red, not blue. THE MOAR YOU KNOW.

... forget SG Megatron, someone should app SG Grimlock.

As of yet, Quatre hasn't been able to refine the metal here on Earth into Gundanium. HE IS WORKING ON IT.

I predict awesome mix of Cybertronian and uh... whatever you call Quatre's tech and Starscream will come back to himself and just. Facepalm forever, huh? XD And yes, I am probably not going to have Quatre changed during the switch week.

Oh lol Grimlock would be fabulous. Well, SG Optimus would always be appropriately hideous?

see, I've seen SG Optimus interact with a 'con cast, and basically even Decepticons are absolutely terrified of him. He's like Galvatron that way. And yeah, SG prime would just. FFFff.

Space... tech... from ~THE FUTURE~. And yeah, part of the intention this week is to have Starscream come back and go I DID WHAT. HOW. WHO. WHEN. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaa.

SG Optimus sounds absolutely terrifying from what I've read of him on the wiki.

Yes. That. Space tech. I know half the reason Quatre's been able to develop what he has so far is because Winner Corp has a decent revenue and doesn't waste money frivolously so the gross income is quite high as well and can then be turned back to research and development. Secret research and development.

If the switch happens before all of the clusterfuck goes down, it'll also add another shot against Quatre, too.
