OKAY, first:

I hereby give permission for anyone who would logically have knowledge of Transformers to viciously fourthwall Starscream all they damn well please. GO RIGHT ON AHEAD. Be warned, though: reminding him of how much of a miserable failure he is will get you an earful.

Now, from YOUR end!

Starscream has an unusual ability: he's dead. Technically. To be a bit more complicated about it, Starscream has an immortal spark (Transformer soul). This means the following:

- He's insubstantial. However, he can be contained by force fields of all types (including strong magnetic fields)
- He can posses people/things.

It is this latter thing that I need permissions for. Basically, I need to know the following:

1. Is it OK for Starscream to posses your character's stuff? That is, if they have a pet roomba, a coffee maker, a nice hovercar, a cell phone, whatever, can he get his ghostly self into it and cause havoc?
2. Is it OK for Starscream to posess your character?
3. If it's okay for Starscream to posses your character, how strong-willed are they? Would they be able to resist him fully taking over their body, or would he be able to control them like a puppet? Would there be a struggle between them?
4. Can Starscream mindrape them gain access to your character's memories? Note that which memories are entirely up to you - the memories are random. Also note that there can be bleed - your character can get some of Starscream's memories in the process (again, this is random)

We can obviously work out situations where this would occur over AIM or PM, or here in this post, or whatever. I am 100% open for both plotting and shenanigans.

Other notes:

Starscream, while immortal and nearly indestructible, isn't totally invincible. If your character is:
a. A god or equivalent entity (angel, demon, sufficiently advanced alien, Vorlon, member of the Q, etc)
b. the owner of an artifact-level weapon/object (ie, Excalibur, the Soul Edge, whatever)
c. the lucky owner of a spike of pure crystal energon in an unstable state

They can kill Starscream, either by virtue of being a godlike entity, or by stabbing him with the artifact/crystal. If it's the latter, he'll explode somewhat violently, but he'll also be quite dead.

Kvestions...?

I hearby volunteer possession of any of Shep's Armor, control systems, or any generic appliances she might come across or utilize in any given day.

Also Dug's collar, or Dug, if you feel like it. He just barely qualifies as weak-willed, but Starscream will inevitably be affected by his dumb.

Noted

LOL also noted. As to Dug himself, probably Stars would just be so perplexed by someone who is SOHAPPYYAY that he'd just

not be able to do anything

really he'd be more like "oh man yeah you're totally right people are awesome SQUIRREL! ... hey let's chase some birds right? right? yay!"

and then later be like WTF WAS THAT EVEN and probably forever have a compulsion to attack small animals

I think it'd be hilarious for Starscream to try and take over Motoko's cybernetic body. Of course, she is canonically rather viciously adept at repelling intruders in her digital domain, of any type, so he's likely to get his ass kicked for it.

That said— how likely do you think it is that she might be able to hack his locked posts on the network?

Awh! I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm sorry, I'm incredibly not-observant today, apparently.

Still, his stuff is going to exist in the continuity of the game— may I have your permission to consider it hackable my Motoko?

WELP...

Maybe. it depends. Starscream is a VERY good hacker himself, being an engineer from a race of sentient machines; and many of his encryptions use Cybertronian coding - that is, nine million year old alien codecs.

I do know that Motoko is super awesome though, so... if you think she could get around that, she probably can (especially since Stars is sometimes quite lazy); but it'd take a very long time to do so. The stuff that's encrypted to Hypatia was NOT lazily done, and given who it was sent to she probably can't hack into that. Um...

Other threads, ask me first please..?

Well, to be fair, Motoko lives and breathes information warfare in much the same fashion that a fish breathes water.

So, are you saying she can't know Starscream was talking to Hypatia, that she can't know the contents of said conversation, or that she can know these things, only that it'll take her a few days of dedicated effort to find out?

If she works hard at it, she can probably figure out that he sent a message to Hypatia; but what the contents of that conversation were will show up as crazy-arsed gibberish.

ERM, meaning, ask me about the individual threads/posts you're looking at.

I was only referring to the Hypatia ones, yes, but I will definitely do this, if I need to. Thank you!
